The Monastery of Saint John the Forerunner (Gr: Άγιος Ιωάννης Ίμερας, Tr: İmera Manastırı) was recently partially renovated. It was founded as a monastery for women in about 1710 and is situated at Imera (today Olucak), 17 km northeast of Gumushane (Gr: Argyroupolis).

The current church was built by the abbess Roxanne in 1859. It was once surrounded by walls and a residence once existed beside it.
