The newly released CD titled what shall I sing for you is based on the musical longings of lost homelands from three regions in Eastern Thrace; namely Strandza, Medea and Playiari.
The music was created from the archives of Evdokia N. Stavrakouka with the support of the Centre for the Research and Promotion of National Music (KEPEM) – Archives of Simon Karas.
More than a hundred years after the expatriation from their homelands, the CD presents authentic, never-before-released songs from the refugees who came from Strandza (Binkilic), Medea (Kıyıköy) and Playiari (Bolayir) in Eastern Thrace.
The CD is specially dedicated to Evdokia who sadly passed away recently.
